Michael Shepard has spent his career strengthening communities and creating opportunities for people across Whatcom County.
An educator, community advocate, and three-term Bellingham Port Commissioner, Michael has dedicated his public service to expanding educational opportunity, growing the regional economy, protecting natural resources, and supporting working families. As a Port Commissioner, he has worked with local governments, tribal nations, and community partners to advance economic development, expand broadband access, support housing, and invest in critical infrastructure.
Now, Michael is running for State Senate to bring that same community-focused leadership to Olympia and keep working to make Whatcom County a stronger, more affordable place to live, work, and raise a family.
